Talk about a babe...

Woman aircraft worker, Vega Aircraft Corporation, Burbank, Calif. Shown checking electrical assemblies

David Bransby, Office of War Information (Defunct), photographer.

Reading Newsweek, I think, I came across this place on Flickr that hosts a bunch of Library of Congress photos from the early twentieth century and a second collection from around World War Two, from which this photo comes.

All I can say, is: wow. And this is just one of the fantastic photos that they've got.

Here's the link: http://flickr.com/photos/library_of_congress/ Yowzers.

//UPDATE: If you follow the Flickr link to the LOC website, you can download the full size "archival" version of any of these pictures. The photo above is available ... as a 141 megabyte download! Great Scot!

Please keep it civil? She doesn't look like an engineer to me. And not just because she's pretty.

As GNR once said, "What so civil about war anyway?" so I guess the civility guideline is temporarily superseded by the topic of this photograph.

And what does an engineer look like, anyway?
